ACT!ON Workshops - created by Rebecca Ward and Tan Lay is a training ground to help business professionals communicate their story more effectively by using techniques from the professional actor's toolkit.

Mastering vocal projection, managing stagefright, improvising under pressure, working seamlessly with others, taking direction, adapting to different personalities: these are all essential aspects of an actor's daily routine, which they handle using various tools learned through years of training at drama school, professional coaching, and of course live performances on stage and on camera.

Our workshops are designed to introduce the actor's toolkit to professionals outside the field of performing arts.

Our Team

Working alongside Rebecca and Tan, our network of coaches and workshop facilitators include a mix of actors, performers, writers, directors, and producers with decades of combined experience across film, television, theatre and digital media.

What you will do

Our workshops are about less discussion, and more ACT!ON. And these are some actions you will be taking:

• Explore key tools used by professional actors on a daily basis to be heard, seen and remembered.

• Practice analysing, rehearsing and performing scripts with authenticity—develop pitches with heart and soul.

• Brush up on non-verbal communication, voice modulation, and foundational presentation skills.

• And most importantly have fun in a workshop that promotes play, experimentation and collaboration.
